<image:caption>The Canadian Pacific Railway had a reputation as being a place of old men in powder blue suits and engineers in striped bib overalls. The company’s self image required improvement. A 12-page recruitment brochure was requested for a younger demographic. The focus was to portray the CPR as fun, diverse and modern, with all the innovative and technological occupations existing in other companies. The client liked the brochure so much they designed the rest of the trade show display based on the brochure.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Portfolio - Brochures - Bow Cycle Flyers</image:title>
<image:caption>The Bow Cycle bicycle shop annually put out a 16-page flyer in the Calgary Herald newspaper. After meeting with the client I encouraged them to divide up the flyer and put out four 4-page flyers. This strategy would spread the delivery out over a couple of months instead of a one time delivery. This would extend the exposure over a longer time period and help with any unforeseen problems, such bad weather, during promotion dates. I suggested each flyer target one specific demographic; children, female riders, road riders and downhill riders. The graphic nature of the design differentiated the flyer from all the other current promotions in the newspaper.</image:caption>

The client requested a cover design and a few spreads so they could finish the layout themselves. When presented with the layout the client requested the project be completed as they did not have the skill set to continue.
